Super Soaker Date Night!

Hey guys! So our date night tonight we decided to shake it up from the old original watch movies or TV. Yeah.....We are kind of boring, but we're changing it up! So..... I decided to surprise Spencer when he got off work with a Super Soaker Date night at a park! I went to the store and got all the supplies we needed and and spent less than 20 dollars for the whole date! Talk about exciting and super budgeting!

Supplies

  • Super soakers (cheap squirt guns work too)
  • Kool-aide packets or the off brands (different colors)
  • water
  • water bottles (no you don't need to buy them, we used some around the house)
  • Picnic blanket
  • Goodies and drinks (such as water or soda, etc)
  • White T-shirts (ladies just go with his size if you're buying cuz they're cheaper to buy in packs)
  • Dark Shorts because Kool-aide stains
  • Camera
To start I packed all my goodies and drinks into a cooler mainly so Spencer couldn't see what I was bringing. I then proceeded to mix the kool-aide into the water bottles and stuck them into the cooler too. Then I packed the water guns and the shirts. We drove to a park nearby and set of the picnic blanket as our base where you couldn't shoot each other, but refill your guns. It also gave us time to talk to each other about our day! Then we would run out and shoot each other until we were out of juice. The one who shot the other the most on their shirt wins. I ended up more soaked then he did and we decided there were a few things we could change to make it even funner, but we both had a blast and he enjoyed his surprise! And yes you will come away smelling like Kool-aide and you'll be somewhat sticky, but you'll have fun I promise. If you guys use this idea please let me know if you guys changed it up, what you did, and how you liked it! I would love to hear back from you!

Happy Soaking!

Stew Meat Chili
  • 2 lb of stew meat

  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top
Directions:

Brown the stew meat in a large skillet. Transfer meat to a crockpot and add the onion, tomatoes, beans, and seasonings. Cook on Low for 6-7 hours or High for 3-4 hours. Sprinkle cheese on each individual serving. Eat up!
These are all the ingredients i used!
                                                           The mixture of seasonings
                                                                Browning the meat!
Everything in the crockpot! Looks weird, but smells delicious!

I added a couple extra seasonings to my liking of which you are more than welcome to do. Well I can't really stop you from doing what you like, but hey let me know what you used or changed up differently and how it tasted!

Easy Snicker Doodles!!!

Hey guys! So today my mom was in a big cookie mood so instead of buying them I decided to pull out the cook books and make some! These are so delicious and will probably become my new favorites! Well here's the recipe! And I'm going to try and start adding pictures! I should have done that with my other recipes, but hey at least I'm starting now!

Easy Snicker Doodles
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (or in my case I just used imitation vanilla flavoring)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil (or canola oil, which I used, or any oil you wish to substitute in)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix sugar and cinnamon; set aside
In a bowl mix together vanilla, oil, and eggs until somewhat combined. Add cake mix to the wet mixture until dough is formed. Shape cookies into 1-inch balls. Roll the balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pan and cool.
These are all the ingredients I used!
Yeah I know not the best formed cookies, but hey they'll still taste good
Here's the dough!

Crunchwrap Taco Supreme

Hey guys,
Long time no see! Well, today I decided that I was in the mood to cook something extra yummy and guess what! I did! It's called Crunchwrap Taco Supreme, it's similar to taco bells, but healthy and it made my mouth water the whole time I was making it! Well here's the recipe! Enjoy!

Crunchwrap Taco Supreme

  • Flour Tortillas (Equal number of large and small)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Shredded cheese (whatever flavor you like or in my case, kind that I had in the fridge)
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes (I used the Italian Style in the can since we didn't have whole tomatoes to cut)
  • Sour Cream (opt.)
Directions:

Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, then add the taco seasoning. Set aside or you can put it in another container to dish out later. Heat up the tortillas you'll be using in the microwave for 10 seconds each, this will help when it comes time for the wrapping. In one of the large tortillas, place some of the ground beef in the center in a circle. Leave some tortilla around the edges because you'll be folding them in. Place some cheese over top of beef, then sour cream in a thin layer (opt.). Next you will add some shredded lettuce and the tomatoes. Place the smaller tortilla over top in the center and begin to fold the outside edges, starting the the edge closest to you, into the center. Go around in the circle folding until you have all the egdes in and you have a hexagon looking shape. Place in a frying pan with the seam sides face down until brown on the bottom then flip and cook other side. Once brown on both sides, place on a plate and eat.

This was a super delicious recipe! I hope you enjoy it!

Crock Pot Mac & Cheese with Roasted Balsamic Mushrooms and Green Beans!

Hello Blogger World! I don't know who's following me, but I'm going to post anyways! Today for dinner I have decided to make some yummy dishes that are sure to make everyone's tummy do a jump for joy!

Crockpot Mac and Cheese

  • 1  1/2 cups milk
  • One 12 oz can evaporated milk (I used skim, evaporated milk keeps the egg and milk from curdling)
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted, cooled to room temp
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups (12 oz) shredded cheese (I used an Italian blend, recipe calls for Italian fontina cheese)
  • 1/2 pound elbow macaroni or mini penne tubes,  cooked and drained (cook them for about five minutes until tender but not completely cooked)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Spray crockpot with nonstick spray. Combine the first 5 ingredients in the crockpot and whisk until smooth. Add the shredded cheese, macaroni, and black pepper next. Coat evenly with a spatula. Now sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top! Cook on HIGH for 30 minutes then reduce temp to LOW and cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the center is set and the pasta is tender. The pasta may sit for 30 minutes before serving on the KEEP WARM setting!

Sounds so yummy!

Roasted Balsamic Mushrooms and Green Beans

  • 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced in 1/2 inch slices
  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, preferably thin French style beans
  • 1 1/2 T olive oil
  • 1 T balsamic vinegar
  • salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 450 F. Wash mushrooms and green beans off and cut to your liking! Place in a ziplock bag and coat with whisked together olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Shake or squeeze bag until mushrooms and green beans are lightly coated! Place on a cookie sheet making sure they're spread out even and cook for 20-30 min. Check for doneness. Cook until beans are tender-crisp and mushrooms are cooked. Season with salt and pepper! You can add parmesan cheese on top if you like!

Time to start cooking!  Add comments if you have different ways of cooking or extra things you add! I would love to hear back from you guys!
